Until recently, serosorting was a strategy mostly used by Gay men as an alternative to safe sex. If it has been proved to contribute to a decrease in HIV incidence within the gay community, it nevertheless remains highly problematic amongst HIV negative men whose status can’t be as certain as HIV positive men. Healthy People by Grey a Turkish advertising agency based in Istanbul created this advert for Ismet Dural a circumciser who owns a clinic and wanted a cheap way to advertised his business in his local area.
“We created a poster with perforated edges. This way the consumer was also participating to the idea. The part which remained in the consumer hand was also the circumcised part which included Ismet Dural’s contact details”

Surveys are not only interesting for the responses provided by their respondents but also for the unanswered questions raised by unasked questions. The 2007 UK Gay Men’s Sex Survey is no exception and the latest report published in advance of the December release contains a few pearls of wisdom.
